The mommy exchange

I realize that I haven't updated the blog in awhile but we have been busy even by our new post-baby standards. Julie has especially been busy as she has been working very hard to get her first grant out (a K99 for all you scientist types). The following week she presented her work at a local conference (and won a prize for best poster presentation I might add). Finally, she headed out to California to present at a conference in San Francisco. I am exhausted having just written about all the stuff she's been doing. Anyway, this was a big milestone for mommy and Aiden because they had never been apart for four whole days before. Another problem was that I am on a rotation that requires call and reasonably long hours. Our solution was to call in a professional and my mom came out to stay with us for a week. Aiden and Grandma had a great time together. I have added a few pics from Julie's trip to San Francisco (she had our camera), and now some pics of Aiden from around the house with Grandma.
